The exact location of the Chikubin point is on the inner side of the calf, on the line between the Taixi point and the Yingu point, 5 inches above the Taixi point and below the inner part of the gastrocnemius muscle belly.
It belongs to the Foot Shao Yin Kidney Meridian, between the gastrocnemius muscle and the long flexor muscles of the toes, and can be used clinically to treat epilepsy, hernia, vomiting and salivation, and pain in the inner calf.
Chubin acupoint can be taken in sitting position, first take Taixi, 5 inches above it, about 2 inches from the posterior edge of the inner side of the tibia. Chikubin can be combined with Yanggu and Tonggu points to treat mania and epilepsy, and with Huiyin and Datun points to treat pediatric hernia.
