What are the sequelae of heart attack

Sequelae of heart attack (i.e. myocardial infarction) include heart failure, ventricular wall tumor, cardiac arrhythmia such as intractable premature beats, and heart valve closure insufficiency. After myocardial infarction, part of myocardial necrosis occurs, and fibrous tissue regeneration replaces myocardial cells, which makes the heart’s function impaired, and the patient experiences chest tightness, chest pain, general weakness, fever, dyspnea, and other uncomfortable symptoms; which mainly include heart failure, ventricular wall tumor, arrhythmia, and cardiac valve closure insufficiency, and so on. 1. Heart failure: myocardial remodeling after myocardial infarction, resulting in lower ejection fraction of the heart, impaired blood circulation, heart failure, chest tightness, breathlessness, decreased physical activity and other symptoms. 2. Ventricular wall tumor: after myocardial infarction, part of myocardial cell necrosis turns into scar, and necrotic myocardium expands outward, which is not coordinated with the movement of surrounding normal cells, forming ventricular wall tumor. 3. Arrhythmia: after myocardial infarction, the electrical activity of the heart is unstable, autonomic dysfunction, arrhythmia such as intractable premature beats and atrioventricular block, etc., and in severe cases, even cardiac arrest and sudden death. 4. Heart valve closure insufficiency: myocardial infarction causes ischemic necrosis and rupture of papillary muscles or tendon cords, which leads to heart valve closure insufficiency. If the patient is not feeling well, please complete the relevant examination immediately to clarify the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
