What symptoms can be used to diagnose periumbilical paroxysmal colic?

The incidence of intestinal diseases has been increasing in recent years, which is closely related to people’s irregular living and eating habits. The most direct manifestation of intestinal obstruction is paroxysmal colic around the umbilicus, which is very harmful to people and even threatens to cause death. So what are the symptoms of intestinal obstruction? Often elderly people, with a history of heart disease or peripheral vascular disease. There are more men than women. Abdominal pain or abdominal discomfort is the most common symptom. The pain is often located in the upper abdomen or around the umbilicus, but can also be diffuse and can radiate to the back and neck. The typical symptoms are 15-60 minutes after a full meal and last for 2-3 hours. It can be accompanied by nausea and vomiting, which is caused by the blood supply not meeting the needs of small intestine digestive function, and the symptoms are parallel to the amount of food intake. The pain can be relieved by changing the position, such as squatting or prone position. Physical activity can promote abdominal pain and intermittent claudication. The metabolism is accelerated during walking and activity, resulting in reduced blood flow to the internal organs and subsequent abdominal pain. There are no special signs on physical examination, and systolic murmurs can be heard on auscultation of the upper abdomen in about 80% of patients. In long-standing patients, there is a chronic appearance, malnutrition and wasting. The abdomen is tender and there is no pressure pain.
