Captopril is mainly indicated for the treatment of primary hypertension and for improving the long-term prognosis of patients with heart failure. The main dose of this drug is about 0.5-2 tablets 2-3 times a day. If the patient is hypertensive, you can choose to start with 0.5 tablets 2-3 times a day and actively measure the blood pressure. If the blood pressure can be controlled within the target range, for example, less than 140/90 mmHg, you can choose to continue to take 0.5 tablets orally. If it is unable to bring the blood pressure under good control, you can gradually increase to 2 tablets. For patients with heart failure, if the degree of heart failure is particularly severe or the blood pressure is reduced due to heart failure, you can choose to start with 0.25 tablets, and if the dose is gradually increased to 1 tablet, the dosage of captopril is usually chosen to start from 2 times a day, or 3 times a day.
