Jaundice 320 insist on no blue light can get well

Jaundice of 320mg/ml insisting on not taking blue light may recover slower and may even induce bilirubin encephalopathy. Under normal circumstances, jaundice appears 2~3 days after birth of full-term infants and reaches its peak within 3~5 days, physiological jaundice of full-term infants usually subsides in 7~14 days, and physiological jaundice of preterm infants usually does not exceed one month. The normal serum bilirubin level is less than 205mmol/L in term infants and less than 257mmol/L in preterm infants. Jaundice of 320mmol/L is pathologic if it persists for 4 weeks and does not subside. Pathologic jaundice requires early irradiation with blue light, or else the bilirubin level may continue to increase, resulting in bilirubin encephalopathy, which affects the newborn’s IQ. For pathological jaundice, while irradiating with blue light, it is also necessary to find out the root cause of pathological jaundice and exclude whether there is hemolytic jaundice or breast milk jaundice. When pathological jaundice occurs, it is recommended to consult the pediatric department of a regular hospital to find out the cause, and do not be negligent to avoid delaying the condition.
