Boils can be treated by topical, oral, and sedation after the pus has come out of the boil. Topical medications can be used by moistening sterile gauze with ravnol solution and applying wet compresses to the affected area for 20 minutes twice a day. After drying and crusting, fusidic acid ointment, clindamycin phosphate gel, compound polymyxin B ointment, erythromycin ointment, ofloxacin gel can be used externally to provide anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial treatment. Oral anti-inflammatory drugs, such as azithromycin capsules, cefoxitin sodium, cefixime capsules, roxithromycin, are also recommended. If there is more pus, and there is still redness and swelling after the pus comes out, you can treat it with static penicillin.
