Physical examination (testicular examination, inguinal examination) and auxiliary examination (mainly including imaging examination, laboratory examination, pathologic examination, etc.) are mainly performed for testicular cancer. 1. Physical examination: mainly palpation of testicles, which can check the size and texture of testicles, and also check whether there are enlarged lymph nodes in inguinal area. 2. Auxiliary examination: (1) Imaging examination: color ultrasound, CT magnetic resonance and other imaging examinations can be carried out to be able to check the size and texture of the occupying disease. (2) Laboratory tests: including alpha-fetoprotein, human chorionic gonadotropin, lactate dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase and so on. (3) Pathological examination: if malignant tumor is suspected, pathological examination is usually needed. A piece of tissue of the mass will be taken and sent to the pathology laboratory to look for cancer cells under the microscope. If testicular cancer is suspected, one should go to hospital as early as possible to take corresponding examination and treatment.
