There is no need to avoid food during taking medication for sweat patches. Sweat spot is mainly caused by Malassezia infection. In terms of diet, there is no clear indication of which food will affect the treatment of sweat spot, but patients should preferably take a light diet in their daily life, and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, such as tomato and broccoli, which will be beneficial to the recovery of sweat spot patients. The main feature of sweat patches is that the patients have hypopigmented and hyperpigmented patches on the surface of the skin, and some scattered flakes can be seen on the top of these patches. For the treatment of sweat patches, limited, small sweat patches can be used topical antifungal drugs, such as ketoconazole cream. Oral antifungal drugs, such as itraconazole capsule, can be added for larger sweat patches. Sweat spot treatment cycle is relatively long, usually takes about 1 month, so if patients suffer from sweat spot, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment in time and follow the doctor’s instructions.
