What is the accuracy rate of enhanced CT?

The diagnostic accuracy of enhanced CT is around 90%. Enhanced CT is performed by injecting contrast into a vein, which improves the resolution of the lesions and is suitable for the detection of tumors in all parts of the body because the distribution of contrast varies among tissues and organs as well as lesions of different nature. In addition, it is possible to localize and diagnose small parts of tumors, observe the distribution range, infiltration and metastasis of tumors, and also guide puncture biopsy if necessary. However, in some rare cases, the nature of the lesion cannot be judged due to its atypical manifestation, and further imaging examinations such as enhanced MRI or ultrasonography are needed, and in some cases, further aspiration biopsy is required to make a definite diagnosis.
