The specific survival time of patients with esophageal cancer combined with liver and lung metastasis cannot be clarified, the 3-year survival rate is generally lower than 5%, and the survival period is around 3~8 months, which varies from person to person. Esophageal cancer is a malignant tumor occurring in the epithelium of the esophagus. Early stage patients do not have obvious clinical symptoms, and progressive dysphagia, chest and back pain and other symptoms may occur when it develops into middle or late stage. Combined liver and lung metastasis of esophageal cancer indicates that the patient has entered the advanced stage, and the difficulty of treatment will be increased. Systematic anticancer treatment (radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, etc.) and symptomatic supportive treatment are usually adopted to prolong the survival time. Some studies claim that the average survival time of patients with esophageal cancer combined with liver metastasis is 11.0 months, and the survival rates of 1 year, 3 years and 5 years are 9.4%, 5.5% and 0, respectively; the median survival time of patients with esophageal cancer combined with lung metastasis is 7.0 months, the survival rate of 3 months is 69.9%, and the survival rate of 1 year is 27.7%; and the prognosis of patients with combined liver and lung metastasis is even worse. It is recommended that patients and their families should face the disease with a positive mindset, go to the hospital for regular review, and need to follow the doctor’s prescription for nutritional support therapy when necessary.
