What happened to low glutamyl transferase?

Glutamyl transferase is mainly found in the kidneys, liver and pancreas. Glutamyl transferase is most abundant in the hepatobiliary system, and if it is abnormal it means that something is wrong with our hepatobiliary system. The normal range of glutamyl transferase is 3-50u/l. Low values are mainly due to problems in the liver or kidneys. Clinically, low glutamyl transferase is not common, but is usually normal or high. If it is low, it indicates the possibility of severe hepatitis, or low glutamyl transferase may occur during acute hepatitis B outbreak.
