Fire cupping can be used to treat hip pain.
Fire cupping, or cupping, is one of the traditional treatment modalities of Chinese medicine, which refers to the use of flash fire method to expel the air inside the can, causing a negative pressure state, so that it is adsorbed on the surface of the patient’s skin, in order to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and to promote the efficacy of the channels and collaterals. In clinical practice, it can be used to treat low back pain, indigestion and other conditions. For hip pain, it also has a certain therapeutic effect.
However, it should be noted that cupping should be done to the extent that the skin is congested with blood, and should not be overly pursued for skin bruising and ecchymosis. Patients with ulcers and breaks on the skin surface, high fever and convulsions, as well as uneven and hairy areas, should avoid using this treatment.
It is recommended that patients with hip pain go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions, do not blindly cupping, so as not to cause damage to the organism.
