The entire root canal process takes about 2 to 3 weeks and usually requires three treatments, each about a week apart, as follows.
The process of root canal treatment is usually divided into the following steps:
1. First visit: opening the pulp for drainage and sealing the pulp inactivator in the root canal.
2. Second visit: Removal of necrotic pulp and inflammatory material, preparation of the root canal into a shape suitable for filling, followed by thorough rinsing and disinfection.
3. Third visit: The root canal system is tightly sealed with root filling material and the root canal treatment is completed after the quality of the root canal filling is evaluated.
If endodontic inflammation is diagnosed, it is recommended to carry out standardized root canal treatment in a timely manner in order to minimize the adverse effects of the disease.
