Causes of visual fatigue

  Visual fatigue is a common disease in ophthalmology nowadays. Patients have a variety of symptoms, commonly including unsustainable close work, pain around the eyes and orbits, blurred vision, dry eyes, and tearing, and in severe cases, headache, nausea, and vertigo. It is not an independent disease, but a group of fatigue syndromes due to various causes.
  I. The common causes are
  1.The cause of the eyes themselves
  Such as myopia, farsightedness, astigmatism and other refractive errors, adjustment factors, eye muscle factors, conjunctivitis, keratitis, wearing glasses are not suitable, etc.;
  2.Systemic factors
  Such as neurasthenia, physical overwork, hysteria or menopausal women;
  3.Environmental factors
  Such as insufficient or too strong light, uneven distribution of light sources or flickering, too small, too fine or unstable targets, etc.
  Second, the common causes of visual fatigue are.
  1, refractive error
  Including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism is not corrected in time;
  2, glasses wear inappropriate
  Such as myopia is high, farsightedness is not enough, etc.;
  3, the difference between the diopter of the two eyes is too large
  Such as 200 degrees of myopia in one eye and 600 degrees of myopia in the other eye;
  4, hidden strabismus, extraocular muscle paralysis, eye muscle force imbalance;
  5, the elderly due to the decline in regulation to see near objects unclear;
  6.Ophthalmic disease
  Such as dry eye, high intraocular pressure in glaucoma, supraorbital neuralgia, and paranasalgia.
  Three, preventive measures.
  1, life should be regular, rest and sleep should be adequate.
  2, improve the working environment, lighting light should be moderate, a combination of direct lighting and indirect lighting, so that the brightness around the workpiece is not excessively lower than the brightness of the workpiece.
  3, the dry season or the use of air conditioning, indoor to maintain a certain level of humidity.
  4, pay attention to eye health. Sitting posture should be upright, see things to maintain the appropriate distance. Avoid long, close, too fine work. When using a computer for a long time, the clarity of the screen should be good, the brightness should be moderate, the distance between the eyes and the screen should be about 60 cm, and the eyes should look flat or lightly down at the fluorescent screen, rest for 5-10 minutes every hour of work, try to look away, relax, and blink more.
  5, eat more food rich in vitamin A and B, such as carrots, leeks, spinach, tomatoes, tofu, milk, eggs, animal liver, lean meat, etc.
  6, lutein is an important nutrient element present in the eye tissue, with strong oxidative properties, promote eye microcirculation, relieve vision fatigue, dryness and other symptoms. Take some products that contain high levels of lutein such as Yue Pupil Lutein, which can effectively relieve visual fatigue.
  7, regular medical checkups, early detection of related diseases and timely treatment. You should go to the hospital to see an ophthalmologist for early detection and eradication of the primary lesion, such as correcting refractive error through prescription lenses and compensating for the defect of exophthalmic strabismus through extraocular muscle training.
  8, eye drops to relieve eye fatigue must be used under the guidance of a doctor. Patients with dry eyes should preferably choose artificial tears without preservatives.
  9. Patients with systemic organic diseases and psychological diseases should seek the help of a specialist in a timely manner.
