What are the effective ways to treat dampness in Chinese medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine treatments for dampness include Chinese medicine taken internally, moxibustion, and general acupuncture. The specific efficacy is related to the patient’s condition and other factors, so it is difficult to generalize.
1. Internal treatment: representative formulae include Wu Ling San and Er Chen Tang. Wu Ling San is mainly applied to Sun Water Storage Certificate (a type of certificate, manifesting as dysuria, bloating of the abdomen, thirst for water, vomiting after drinking, etc.), with clinical manifestations such as edema, diarrhea, and dysuria (unruly urination). Its composition is Gui Zhi, Zedo, Poria, Poria, Atractylodes Macrocephala, etc..
The composition of Er Chen Tang is Half Xia, Poria, Chen Pi, Wu Mei, Ginger, Licorice and other drugs. It is mainly used to treat damp-phlegm syndrome, which is characterized by cough with excessive phlegm, white color and easy to swallow, nausea and vomiting, limb drowsiness (weakness and sinking of limbs), or dizziness and palpitation, with white or greasy tongue coating. The adverse effects of the above formula are not clear.
2. Moxibustion: Ginger moxibustion can be used, and the acupoints used are foot-sanli, Fenglong, zhongkou, Shenque, etc. The lit moxa cones should be placed on ginger. The lit moxa cones are placed on the ginger slices and placed on the selected points for about 15-20 minutes.
3. Ordinary acupuncture: commonly used acupuncture points are Yinlingquan, Ashansanli, Sanyinjiao, etc., which have the effect of strengthening the spleen and inducing dampness.
If the patient has any discomfort, please consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment. Acupuncture should be operated by professional physicians, and moxibustion should be carried out under the guidance of professional physicians.
