How to tell if you want a hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is usually needed when the patient has the following conditions: irregular vaginal bleeding, scanty menstruation or amenorrhea, infertility, and abnormal vaginal discharge.
1. Irregular vaginal bleeding: endometrial polyps, abnormal endometrial hyperplasia and other conditions may cause abnormal uterine bleeding, which may manifest as irregular vaginal bleeding or incessant vaginal bleeding. In this case, hysteroscopy is needed to determine the presence of the above diseases.
2. Hypomenorrhea or amenorrhea: due to endometrial or cervical inflammation, uterine surgery, etc., the endometrium or cervix is adherent, and hypomenorrhea or amenorrhea occurs. Hysteroscopy can clearly see whether there are adhesions in the endometrium or cervix, and active treatment can also be carried out.
3. Infertility: Infertility patients also need to undergo hysteroscopy to determine whether there are uterine abnormalities, endometrial tuberculosis, uterine adhesions and other conditions that affect the fertilization of the egg.
4. Abnormal vaginal secretion: If the patient has abnormal vaginal secretion, such as leukorrhea in the form of rice soup or slop with foul odor, hysteroscopy is needed to determine whether there is endometrial malignant lesion.
Patients with the above conditions must consult a doctor in time, under the guidance of a professional doctor to carry out relevant examinations, to clarify the cause of the disease, and actively treat it, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
