Will the lump go away on its own?

Whether or not a lump will go away on its own depends on the circumstances.
Lumps can form for a number of reasons and the specific cause needs to be identified to know if it can be eliminated on its own.
1. Lumps formed by inflammation can be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs. If there is pus, oozing and other local manifestations, you can change the treatment and anti-infection treatment, such as taking amoxicillin, cefaclor and other antibiotics or intravenous use of levofloxacin, penicillin for injection, etc., it is possible to slowly eliminate themselves. Some of the inflammatory lumps form abscesses, which require surgical incision and drainage treatment.
2. Lumps caused by trauma, internal bruising, fluid accumulation, after self-absorption, can recover by themselves. If appropriate cold compresses, heat therapy and other physical therapy methods can promote healing.
3. If the lump is large and the periosteum is intact, the possibility of tumor should also be considered. Under normal circumstances, it usually cannot be eliminated by itself, and surgical excision should be considered to eliminate the lump. If it is a malignant tumor lesion, extended surgical resection and further anti-tumor treatment such as chemoradiotherapy are required.
It is recommended that patients with lumps on the body should go to the hospital in a timely manner to clarify the cause of the disease and take effective treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
