Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of carbuncle, scrofula (mainly refers to the neck lymph node tuberculosis), scabies, damp-heat gonorrhea, dyspareunia; syphilis and mercury poisoning caused by limb contracture, tendon and bone pain.
Poria cocos is used as a decoction to be taken internally or externally in appropriate quantities, and should be taken with caution in cases of deficiency of liver and kidney yin.
