Peppert is an imported drug with the composition of valsartan amlodipine tablets, which is a combination of angiotensin II receptor antagonist and calcium channel blocker. It contains 80mg of valsartan and 5mg of amlodipine, which is a very advantageous and preferred combination in the clinic at present, and helps to lower the patient’s blood pressure better. However, this drug tends to have a slow onset of action and is not recommended as a first choice in the clinic if the patient is currently in urgent need of a quicker reduction in blood pressure. Perindopril indapamide tablets or nifedipine controlled-release tablets are more potent in lowering blood pressure and have a relatively faster onset of action. This drug is not recommended for patients with angioneurotic edema and for patients who develop a persistent dry cough after oral administration. These adverse reactions, however, tend to disappear gradually after discontinuation of the drug.
