How long does it take to get pregnant with gadopentetate dextran injections

Pregnancy is recommended 3 months after gadopentetate dextran injection. Gadopentetate Glucosamine is a diagnostic medicine. It is used for magnetic resonance imaging of the brain, spinal cord, abdomen, chest, pelvis, limbs and other human organs and tissues. Animal studies have shown that gadopentetate glucosamine shows signs of slightly delaying fetal development, and there are not enough studies to prove whether this drug is safe for pregnant women. Therefore, for the safety of the fetus, it is recommended to wait 3 months after gadopentetate dextran injection before becoming pregnant. Adverse reactions such as facial flushing, hives, nausea, mild hot and painful sensation at the injection site, dizziness, and other adverse reactions may occur in individual patients after the use of gadopentetate dextran. Therefore, it should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney damage, epilepsy, hypotension, asthma. It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to the drug.
