Abortion does not require an incision, regardless of how long the pregnancy has been undergoing. This is because the method of abortion, also known as termination of pregnancy, differs significantly depending on the duration of the pregnancy. For example, in the first 7 weeks of pregnancy the pregnancy can be terminated by medical abortion and in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy by abortion. In cases where the pregnancy is over 14 weeks, the pregnancy can be terminated by induction of labor. For medication abortion, the abortion can be achieved by taking mifepristone and misoprostol without surgery and will be done by vaginal bleeding. In cases where the pregnancy is more than 7 weeks, but not more than 14 weeks, surgical abortion can be achieved through surgical removal, which also does not require an incision and is performed vaginally. If the pregnancy has exceeded 14 weeks, the pregnancy will need to be terminated by induction of labor, in a similar way to abortion, and the removal will be done through the vagina, so there is no need for an incision in the body.
