Fire boils are suppurative inflammation caused by bacteria, viruses and other pathogenic microorganisms that attack superficial hair follicles. The common causative organism is Staphylococcus aureus, and it occurs mostly on the chest, back and other areas.
After the onset of the disease, the main manifestations are redness, swelling and pain in the lesion area, and if an abscess is formed, there will be whiteheads appearing. Upon rupture, pus flows out. If multiple adjacent boils fuse, a carbuncle may form.
On the one hand, applying erythromycin ointment, tetracycline ointment or mupirocin ointment to the lesion area has a better anti-inflammatory effect and promotes the inflammation to subside. At the same time, antibiotic drugs such as cephalosporins and macrolides can be taken orally for anti-inflammatory treatment to promote the inflammation to subside. If the effect of antibiotics is not obvious, surgical incision and drainage can be performed, and the medication can be changed after surgery.
On the other hand, patients should pay attention to rest, avoid staying up late. Pay attention to a light diet, avoid spicy and stimulating foods, and do not smoke or drink alcohol.
