How is the underarm lymph considered enlarged?

Normal lymph nodes are about 0.2-0.5 centimeters in size and are usually distributed in clusters. When the axillary lymph nodes are more than 0.5 centimeters in size, it is necessary to consider enlarged lymph nodes. Normal lymph nodes are usually not palpable, when they are enlarged, they are directly palpable and this can be seen due to a number of possible causes. If the lymph nodes are enlarged due to local inflammation, it usually manifests as redness, swelling, heat, and pain in the lymph nodes. This kind of lymph node enlargement has a better mobility, starts sharply, and the enlarged lymph nodes will subside quickly after the infection of the primary lesion is controlled. Enlarged lymph nodes in the armpits can also be painless. If there is poor mobility, it is necessary to be highly alert to the problem of lymphoma, which is mostly seen in breast cancer, or other cancer metastasis, or may be primary lymphoma, which should be clarified by puncture biopsy.
