The chemotherapy regimen for rectal cancer mainly includes the following two kinds: first, FOLFOX4 regimen, the drugs mainly include oxaliplatin, fluorouracil, and calcium folinic acid as sensitizers, used in patients with stage 3, stage 2B and stage 4 rectal cancer. Secondly, FOLFIRI regimen, which mainly includes irinotecan, fluorouracil and calcium folinic acid as sensitizers, is used for patients with locally progressive recurrent metastatic rectal cancer. Generally, chemotherapy will cause some toxic side effects, which can be combined with traditional Chinese medicine for treatment to reduce the toxic side effects of chemotherapy.
