Will the results of rapid pathology and routine pathology be different?

Rapid pathology and conventional pathology deviate slightly in their results, but are basically the same. Rapid pathology, also known as rapid frozen pathology examination, is usually a surgeon in surgery to remove the lesion on the 1~2 pieces of tissue, sent to the Department of Pathology after the special dye embedded in the frozen, and then sliced with a sectioning machine, and ultimately in the microscope to observe the morphology of the tissues within the section, the pathologist needs to make a pathological diagnosis in less than 30 minutes. Conventional pathology is to send the diseased tissue removed from the patient to the Department of Pathology to make sections, this process needs to carry out tissue dehydration, dipping wax, curing tissues, etc., so it takes a relatively long time, but the shape of the tissues in the sections is clearer, and the final diagnosis is also more accurate. Rapid pathology is faster and shorter in observation time, but its results are affected by many factors such as limitation of sampling, non-standardized production, insufficient diagnostic suggestions, etc., which cannot guarantee 100% correct diagnosis, and some clinical researches have shown that the conformity rate of rapid pathology can reach 96.7% of the conventional pathology diagnosis. It is recommended that patients with the above conditions should go to regular hospitals for timely consultation and standardized treatment under the guidance of doctors to avoid delaying their conditions.
