Most patients with UU, i.e., positive for Mycoplasma solium, do not need treatment, and some patients are treated mainly to control the clinical manifestations, without absolutely killing the mycoplasma. Because of the large number of false-positive patients in mycoplasma testing, and there are hundreds of species of mycoplasma in nature, only a dozen of them are pathogenic to humans, but they are also parasitic in the human body and do not cause symptoms, and only when the body’s immunity decreases, the corresponding clinical manifestations may appear. Studies have shown that up to 30%-40% of normal adult males are carriers of mycoplasma, which usually does not require treatment. Even in symptomatic mycoplasma-positive patients, clinical control of symptoms is the main focus. In patients with uncontrolled disease, other pathogenic microbial infections are considered.
