How to get rid of scars on the face

Scars on the face cannot be completely removed once they appear, but their appearance can be improved through medication, phototherapy and surgery.
1. Medication: In the early stage of scar formation, local ointment can be applied under the guidance of specialists, such as sodium heparin allantoin ointment and silicone gel to inhibit scar proliferation; if scar proliferation is obvious, glucocorticosteroids such as trimethoprim can be injected into the scar, to soften the purpose of scarring.
2. Photoelectric treatment: At present, carbon dioxide fractional laser, erbium laser and other photoelectric treatments are commonly used to deal with keloid scars, which can improve the appearance of keloid scars by stripping, stimulating local collagen regeneration and rearranging, but it usually takes several times of treatments to achieve the desired effect.
3. Surgery: If the scar is obvious and affects the appearance or function, and the conservative treatment is ineffective for a long period of time, the proliferating scar tissue can be removed through surgery and then reduced suture. However, surgery is an invasive operation, and there is a risk of re-formation of hyperplastic scar, and after the operation, patients should follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the anti-scar treatment.
It is recommended that patients who wish to undergo treatment should go to a regular hospital in a timely manner and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of a specialist.
