The medical term for gray nails generally refers to onychomycosis. Alcohol spray for onychomycosis doesn’t help.
Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the nail plate or subnail tissues caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and other fungi. When treating gray nails, you should take general treatment, topical drug treatment or systematic treatment.
1. General treatment: pay attention to local cleanliness, keep local dryness, change shoes and socks frequently, try to wear shoes and socks with good ventilation, and do not share shoes and socks with others.
2. Topical drug treatment: If it is distal lateral subnail type or white superficial type of onychomycosis, topical drug treatment is commonly used. After removing the diseased nails, topical antifungal preparations such as amorolfine and ketoconazole are used.
3. Systemic drug therapy: continuous oral terbinafine can be used, or itraconazole intermittent shock therapy can be used. In the oral drug at the same time, can be used in conjunction with the use of topical amorolfine and other antifungal drug treatment.
If nail fungus occurs, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time. The above medication should be used in accordance with the doctor’s prescription, do not self-medication.
