Do you have to fast at Midtown?

Mid Down, which is a mid-term Down’s screening test, is usually performed at 15-20 weeks of pregnancy and does not require fasting.
Intermediate Down’s screening is to draw the peripheral blood of pregnant women, extract the serum thereof for examination, test the blood of AFP, estriol, human chorionic gonadotropin, free β-hcg, pregnancy-related plasma proteins and other items, which are generally not affected by eating, so fasting is not required.
However, it should be noted that if the Down’s test is followed by liver and kidney function, blood glucose and lipid tests, then fasting is required at this time.
Down’s syndrome screening can detect the risk of congenital trisomy 21 in the fetus. If there is a high risk of Down’s screening, amniocentesis or non-invasive DNA testing will also be required, and if abnormalities are found, prompt medical attention is recommended.
