Dark circles are figuratively called “panda eyes” and can be categorized into three different types: pigmented, vascular and structural. There are differences in the treatment of different types of dark circles, and there is no so-called “the most effective method”, as most of them can be reduced by medication, laser and surgery. There is no such thing as “the most effective way”. Most of the dark circles can be alleviated by medication, laser and surgical treatments, while some of them are difficult to eliminate.
1. Pigmented dark circles: according to the condition of the eyes, medication (hydroquinone, retinoic acid preparation), physical therapy (intense pulsed light, laser therapy), chemical peeling therapy (fruit acid, trichloroacetic acid), micro-needle therapy and other treatments can be chosen under the guidance of the doctor.
2. Vascular dark circles: Physical treatment (laser treatment, intense pulsed light treatment) can be chosen according to the condition, and surgical treatment is needed if necessary to remove the dilated veins around the eyes and lighten the dark circles.
3. Structural dark circles: Injectable filling treatment (autologous fat particles, hyaluronic acid), physical treatment (laser treatment, intense pulsed light), microneedle therapy, surgical treatment (loosening of lacrimal ligament, transconjunctival blepharoplasty) and other treatments are needed according to the condition.
In addition to the above treatments, patients with dark circles should pay attention to ensuring adequate sleep and avoiding late nights; using the correct way to wash the face to ensure that the skin around the eyes is clean; and paying attention to sun protection when going out and avoiding direct ultraviolet rays. In addition, a small portion of dark circles are related to aging, which is difficult to completely cure and easy to recur.
It is recommended that patients who need to eliminate dark circles should seek medical treatment in time, choose the best treatment plan under the guidance of the doctor, and avoid using medication privately to avoid delaying their condition.
