What is the composition and main treatment of Chai Long Tang?

Chai Long Tang should be referred to as Chai Hu Long Bone Oyster Tang, which is mainly composed of Chai Hu, Long Bone, Oyster, Semixia and Scutellaria, etc. It has the effect of clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxicity and evil qi from the body), and calming and tranquillizing the mind (using medicines of a heavy sedative nature to stabilize the mind). Chai Long Tang consists of Chai Hu, Han Xia, Long Bone, Ginseng, Rhubarb, Oyster, Poria, Lead Dan, Gui Zhi, Ginger, and Jujube, for a total of eleven herbs. Among them, Lead Dan has been banned because it is toxic. Chai Long Tang can mainly be used to treat symptoms such as chest and rib bitterness, irritability and frenzy, intertwining and depressing of Qi and fire, reversal of Qi and blood, and dysuria (unsmooth urination). The formula is widely used and generally has no obvious contraindications and adverse reactions. If medication is needed, it is recommended to go to the hospital and take it under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. It is not advisable to take this medicine arbitrarily in order to avoid delaying the condition.
