What are the pre-screening tests for uterine cancer

Uterine cancer generally refers to endometrial cancer and cervical cancer. Pre-screening for endometrial cancer includes ultrasound examination, segmental diagnostic scraping, etc. Pre-screening for cervical cancer includes high-risk HPV examination and cervical liquid-based cytology examination.
1. Endometrial cancer: transvaginal ultrasound can understand the size of the uterus, shape of the uterine cavity, whether there are superfluous organisms in the uterine cavity, thickness of the endometrium, whether there is infiltration of the myometrium and its depth, which can provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Segmental diagnostic scraping is the most common and valuable diagnostic method. The advantage of segmental diagnostic scraping is that it can obtain tissue specimens of endometrium for pathological diagnosis, and it can also identify endometrial cancer and adenocarcinoma of the cervical canal; whether endometrial cancer involves the cervical canal or not can be clarified, so as to provide the basis for the formulation of treatment plan.
2. Cervical cancer: persistent infection of cervical human papillomavirus can cause cervical cancer, so cervical human papillomavirus test can check whether there is papillomavirus infection through vaginal secretion. In particular, the risk of developing cervical cancer is greatly increased with persistent infection with high-risk types of HPV.
TCT is a cytologic test that uses a cervical liquid-based cytology system to detect cervical cells and make a cytologic diagnosis. Cervical liquid-based cytology has a relatively high detection rate of cervical cancer and can also detect some precancerous lesions, microorganisms such as trichomonas, viruses and chlamydia.
It is recommended that women of appropriate age undergo regular gynecological screening, and if there is any abnormality, it is recommended that they go to the hospital in time for a clear diagnosis and active treatment to avoid delaying their condition.
