Efficacy of moxibustion at Yinlingquan point

Moxibustion at Yinlingquan point has the effects of inducing diuresis and seeping dampness (promoting the flow of water to dispel dampness), warming the menstruation and dispersing cold, and relieving pain, which can treat diarrhea, edema, jaundice and so on.
Moxibustion has the effects of warming the menstruation, dispersing cold, eliminating stasis and dispersing knots, supporting yang and fixing prolapse (treating prolapse-type diseases by replenishing yang qi), preventing diseases and health care, and inducing heat to travel outward. Yinlingquan point is a conjunction point of the foot-taiyin spleen meridian, which has the effect of inducing diuresis and seeping dampness. Moxibustion at Yinlingquan can be used to treat jaundice, edema, diarrhea, abdominal distension, enuresis, urinary incontinence, spermatorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and knee pain.
The location of the Yinlingquan point is on the medial side of the lower leg, in the depression halfway between the medial edge of the tibia and the lower edge of the medial tibial condyle. Moxibustion at the Yinlingquan point should be used to the extent that the skin is slightly red without blisters.
