Dietary considerations for stomach cancer prevention

In recent years, the incidence and mortality rate of gastric cancer in China has been high, and there is an obvious trend of low age. Some research data show that 80%-90% of gastric cancers are caused by themselves and have a lot to do with their own living habits. Stomach cancer ranks first among all kinds of malignant tumors in China, and there are obvious geographical differences in the incidence of stomach cancer, which is significantly higher in the northwest and east coast of China than in the south. The prognosis of gastric cancer is related to the pathological stage, location, tissue type, biological behavior and treatment measures of gastric cancer. The dietary principle of gastric cancer is to adopt digestible food, food rich in protein and fat with rotten cooking, and minimize the content of crude fiber in food. It must be noted that indigestible rough food can aggravate the patient’s condition. Precautions for stomach cancer prevention diet 1. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Eat more foods containing vitamins A, B and E and strengthen protein intake appropriately to protect gastric mucosa. 2. Protect the hygiene of water for consumption. Because contaminated water sources contain many kinds of cancer-causing metal ions, make sure to use regular tap water and try to use well water in rural areas. 3.Actively treat precancerous lesions. Atrophic gastritis is closely related to gastric cancer and is a precancerous lesion; gastric cancer caused by malignant gastric ulcer accounts for 5-10%; gastric polyadenomatous polyp is more common than single polyp, and polyp diameter over 2CM shows a tendency of malignant transformation; pernicious anemia is also related to gastric cancer. 4. To develop good eating habits. If the diet is not regular and quantitative, overeating, eating too fast and too hot, it is a damaging stimulus to the stomach, which has a certain relationship with the occurrence of gastric cancer. Meanwhile, high salt intake and sulking during meals are also related to gastric cancer. Avoid eating smoked and fried food. Smoked fish and bacon contain a lot of carcinogenic substances, such as 3-4 benzopyrene and cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Fried, baked, burnt food and reused high-temperature cooking oil also contain such carcinogenic substances and should be consumed sparingly. 2. Do not eat moldy food. Mold is caused by contaminated mold, some of which are poisonous fungi and are strong carcinogens, while some foods produce large amounts of nitrite and secondary amines under the action of poisonous fungi, which can cause cancer by synthesizing nitrosamines in the stomach under certain conditions. 3.Do not smoke and drink less alcohol. Smoking has a certain relationship with stomach cancer. Smoke contains benzo(a)pyrene, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, dibenzocarbazole and other carcinogenic or pro-carcinogenic substances, which is one of the causes of esophageal cancer and stomach cancer. Although alcohol itself is not a carcinogenic substance, strong alcohol can stimulate the gastric mucosa, damage the mucosal tissue and promote the absorption of carcinogenic substances, which is more harmful if drinking alcohol and smoking at the same time. Because alcohol can enhance the permeability of cell membranes, thus strengthening the absorption of carcinogenic substances in smoke. 4, eat less or no pickles. Pickles contain a large number of nitrites and secondary amines, which can synthesize nitrosamines under the action of suitable acidity or bacteria in the stomach, and these compounds are strong carcinogens. So food should be fresh and refrigerator refrigeration is advocated. People suffering from atrophic gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric polyadenomatous polyp, pernicious anemia must often go to hospital for examination and treatment to eliminate precancerous lesions and definitely prevent the occurrence of gastric cancer. If there are frequent symptoms such as upper abdominal discomfort, vague pain in the heart, feeling of fullness after eating, loss of appetite, emaciation, weakness, frequent vomiting of overnight food and gastric juice not containing bile, and black tarry stools, you should seek medical attention early.
