What are the effects of Sang Bai Pi

Sang Bai Pi has the effects of diarrhea and asthma (calming asthma by regulating the qi of the lungs), promoting water circulation and swelling, clearing the liver and lowering blood pressure, and stopping bleeding. It can treat lung-heat cough and asthma, edema and distention, low urine output, hypertension and epistaxis, coughing up blood and other conditions.
Sangbaipi is sweet and cold. It belongs to the lung meridian. Because of its cold nature, it can clear lung fire, and also diarrhea water in the lungs to calm cough. When treating wheezing and coughing caused by lung heat, it is often used in conjunction with diclofenac and licorice. Sangbaipi can lower lung qi, regulate water channels, and promote edema, so it can be used to treat generalized edema and distension, facial skin swelling, and dysuria (unruly urination).
In addition, Sangbaipi has the effect of clearing the liver, lowering blood pressure and stopping bleeding, so it can be used to treat hypertension and epistaxis and coughing up blood caused by high liver fire.
