The difference between neurology and neurosurgery

Neurology is primarily a medical system and treatment is based on medication. Neurosurgery belongs to the surgical system, and the treatment is mainly based on surgery and invasive treatment. At the same time, there is also a difference in the scope of diseases treated. Neurology mainly treats some ischemic cerebrovascular diseases, such as transient ischemic attack, cerebral infarction, dizziness, headache, or some metabolic diseases, dystonia, etc., which are all belong to neurology. Neurosurgery mainly treats cerebral hemorrhage, intracranial space-occupying diseases, and if necessary, it can also give patients treatment such as endothelial stripping of atherosclerosis or stenting of cerebral stenosis. Therefore, neurology and neurosurgery treat the same diseases, but generally take different treatment approaches.
