How to drink angelica and chuanxiong rhizome in water

The medicinal effects of Angelica sinensis and Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong in water are limited, so the use of the water infusion method is not recommended. The two are usually taken in decoction with water, which has the effects of tonifying and activating blood. Angelica sinensis has the basic effects of tonifying and activating blood, regulating menstruation and stopping menstruation, and is suitable for blood deficiency with yellowish color, palpitation and dizziness, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea and amenorrhea, abdominal pain in deficiency and cold, bruises, rheumatism and paralysis, and intestinal dryness and constipation. Angelica sinensis should not be used for people with dampness (too much dampness leading to fullness and discomfort in the spleen and stomach) and loose stools. The adverse effects of this product are not known. Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong has the basic efficacy of invigorating blood and promoting circulation of qi, dispelling wind and relieving pain, and is indicated for pain in the chest, abdomen and heart, bruises, headache, rheumatic paralysis, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea and amenorrhea. The adverse effects of this product are not clear. Caution should be exercised in cases of excessive sweating and menorrhagia. Clinically, Angelica sinensis and Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong are often used in pairs. Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong can assist Angelica sinensis in promoting blood circulation, and enable Angelica sinensis to tonify blood without stagnating blood. Both are used in decoction. Please do not use this medicine blindly under medical supervision.
