Age of language sensitivity

A child’s language sensitivity peaks between the ages of 3 and 6 years old, when children’s language is in a stage of rapid development. after the age of 3 years old children’s language volume increases significantly and their use of grammar matures, and around the age of 6 years old children’s vocabulary and grammar use is approaching adult levels, so this is a critical and sensitive period of language development. However, overall children’s language has been progressing from 0-6 years old, so language development during this period is ongoing and cannot be ignored. If there is too little communication or too much use of electronic devices during the sensitive period of language development, it can lead to delayed language development. Therefore, it is best for parents to expose their children to a more linguistic environment during language development, especially between the ages of 0-6, which is more beneficial to language development.
