Neuroplasticity refers to the capacity of the central nervous system to adapt and change. This ability to adapt and change is accompanied by the recovery of brain structure and function. In the clinical rehabilitation of patients with brain injury, the following 3 principles can clearly promote brain plasticity. (a) Intensive Motor Skills Practice Intensive motor skills practice refers to repetitive, high-intensity learning and practice of motor skills and activities that are meaningful to the individual (rather than simple motor repetition), which can increase adaptive changes in the brain, improve motor skills and ability levels, and promote brain function development. (ii) Enriched Environments: The use of increased physical activity, more social interaction, and sensory stimuli of interest (novel objects or problem-solving opportunities) can clearly promote brain recovery and underlying neurodevelopmental processes, including increases in synaptic plasticity and white matter. (iii) Aerobic Exercise A large body of human and preclinical data supports that aerobic exercise (physical activity) can improve CNS function and promote brain plasticity. Adaptive devices (wheelchairs, standing frames, walkers, etc.) can be used to support uprightness or walking for those with severe physical disabilities or low levels of functioning; body-weight supported treadmill training or floor training can also be used. ”The more you use your brain, the better you get at it, and the more you use your mind, the better you get at it, and the more you use it, the better you get at it. We need parents to understand the above three principles, so that under the monitoring and guidance of rehabilitation doctors and therapists, children can realize their potential and achieve the best postural management, maximum functional status and the best quality of life by giving them more experiences and skills in daily life activities such as eating, drinking, playing and playing in a natural environment. Under the monitoring and guidance of the rehabilitation doctors and therapists, the children will be able to realize their potential, achieve the best postural management, maximum functional status and the best quality of life.
