What is acute conjunctivitis (red eye)

There are two main types of acute conjunctivitis, bacterial conjunctivitis and viral conjunctivitis. The main symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis are: red eyes and purulent discharge, and most bacterial conjunctivitis does not have swollen preauricular lymph nodes. However, gonorrheal conjunctivitis is associated with swollen preauricular lymph nodes. Antibacterial eye drops should be used. Viral conjunctivitis: red eyes with watery discharge. Swollen lymph nodes in front of the ear. Apply antiviral eye drops. When you get pink eye, first of all, the whole family should not share a basin or a towel. Be sure to wash your hands after touching the patient before touching other items. Do not apply a hot towel; this action will make the symptoms worse. After the symptoms have improved, be sure to disinfect the used towels in time to prevent repeated infections.
