Whether the bone is injured after a knee fall can be determined based on the patient’s clinical symptoms, signs, and imaging tests. After a knee fall, the pain can be mild, the skin surface is only abrasions, no obvious swelling, activity limitation, etc., then the general possibility of injury to the bone is low. If the patient has severe localized pain, swelling, hematoma formation, deformity or activity limitation, as well as the two fracture segments rubbing against each other can produce bone friction sound or bone friction sensation, then preliminary consideration of bone fracture, and need to improve the relevant examination, such as X-ray, CT or MRI. If the fracture is caused by a fall on the knee and the bone is damaged, the fracture line can be seen on X-ray, CT examination can accurately determine the size of the fracture and the degree of damage in the knee joint, and MRI can determine the soft tissue damage. Fractures can be caused by falling on the bone, and usually require repositioning, immobilization and rehabilitation, and for serious or open fractures, emergency treatment such as anti-shock and hemostasis is also needed. It is recommended that patients with knee injuries should consult a doctor in a timely manner to complete the relevant examinations, and the doctor should assess and judge the situation and provide appropriate treatment if necessary.
