What’s wrong with brushing your teeth and spitting up yellow water in the morning?

If a patient spits yellow water in the morning while brushing teeth, if it is vomited, consider the possibility of gastritis, functional gastric disease or the presence of pyloric obstruction. If the patient brushes his teeth and vomits yellow water, which is only brought out by nausea, consider the possibility of chronic pharyngitis, which is often accompanied by discomfort in the throat as a foreign body sensation in the pharynx. The first case requires gastroscopy to clarify, and if it is clear that the disease is gastritis or gastric erosion, it can be treated with omeprazole plus mosapride citrate. If the patient is found to have pyloric obstruction on examination, he/she needs to be treated with fasting or cold liquid food, along with acid inhibiting and pro-motive drugs. If it is clear that chronic pharyngitis is present, it needs to be regulated in the ENT department.
