Why is there blood after intercourse?

If a woman has severe vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, or cervical lesions, intercourse can cause severe local irritation, which can lead to bleeding after intercourse, also known as contact bleeding. Since there are many causes of this condition, further examination is needed to make a definite diagnosis. If a patient has this condition, he or she should go to a local public hospital for laboratory tests of secretions, colposcopy, pelvic ultrasound and, if necessary, combined hysteroscopy to clarify the diagnosis of the disease.
