Parasplenium belongs to the spleen tissue. The human body normally has only one spleen, and the spleen tissue that appears outside of the normal one is called parasplenium, which can have certain spleen functions. The formation of the parasplenium is related to congenital development and there are no obvious symptoms of discomfort, so no special treatment is needed. If the parasplenium is twisted or bleeds due to trauma, it needs to be removed surgically. If a hematologic disorder occurs and splenectomy is required, the parasplenium should be completely removed.
