The procedure of lipoma excision can be briefly summarized as disinfection, anesthesia, incision of the skin, removal of the lipoma, and suturing of the wound. 1. Disinfection, the first step is to disinfect the intended incision, routinely disinfected 3 times. 2. Anesthesia, if the tumor is located under the skin, local infiltration anesthesia is often used; if the tumor is located in the deep and or between the muscle abdomen, general intravenous anesthesia, epidural anesthesia and so on may be required. 3. Incise the skin to expose the lipoma. 4. Separate the lipoma bluntly with hemostatic forceps or fingers, and remove the lipoma with a scalpel after separation. 5. Finally, the wound will be sutured. Before suturing, the wound will be rinsed with saline, the skin around the wound will be sterilized with 70% alcohol, and then it will be covered with sterile dressing and fixed with adhesive tape. If you are suffering from lipoma and want to perform lipectomy, it is recommended to go to the hospital for consultation and removal.
