Autologous stem cell transplantation usually recovers in a period of 1~3 months.
Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation involves preconditioning and then infusing pre-collected autologous stem cells back into the patient. The recovery time is usually 1 to 3 months, and the length of the recovery time is related to the function of the patient’s autologous bone marrow recovery.
In addition, if the pretreatment regimen is more intense, the time for autologous bone marrow recovery will be prolonged accordingly.
While waiting for the bone marrow to recover, if there is severe anemia and thrombocytopenia, aggressive transfusion of red blood cells and platelets is needed for supportive treatment. In the process of waiting for bone marrow recovery, it is also necessary to do good personal hygiene and prevent infection. In case of infection, empirical anti-infection treatment is needed promptly.
The diagnosis of the specific disease and autologous transplantation treatment need to be carried out under the guidance of physicians.
