Fecal occult blood (++++) means that red blood cells are found in the stool during the fecal occult blood test, which is usually common for gastrointestinal bleeding, or for perianal lesions. Commonly, for example, upper gastrointestinal bleeding will show a positive fecal occult blood test, and the observed stool will be a dark brown tarry stool with thin and more frequent stools, which proves that there is more bleeding. If the stool is darker in color but not particularly thin and not particularly frequent, there may be bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract, but the amount of bleeding is not large. If there is bleeding in the lower gastrointestinal tract it is usually common to have fresh blood in the stool, which is found during defecation, or when there are hemorrhoids or an anal fissure, there may also be positive occult blood in the stool, and anal fissures are also more bleeding and can be found during defecation. If you have hemorrhoids, the hemorrhoid bleeding is not particularly obvious and may not be easily detected when you have a bowel movement, but you can also have fecal occult blood, so the next test should be performed again for what exactly is wrong.
