According to the diagnosis and treatment of Chinese medicine, lumbar disc herniation is divided into four types: 1. Wind-cold with dampness: cold pain in the lower back and legs, unfavorable rotation, pain not decreasing when lying down, fear of wind and vicious cold, cold limbs, aggravated by rainy days. Pale tongue, white or greasy coating, sunken and tight or moist pulse. 3.Dampness and heat obstruction: pain in the lumbar region, weakness of the legs, heat sensation in the painful area, increasing pain in hot or rainy days, decreasing pain after activity, vicious heat and thirst, short and red urine, yellow and greasy moss, moist pulse or strings. 4, liver and kidney deficiency: lumbar pain, lumbar and knee weakness, worse with exertion, alleviated by lying on the side, yang deficiency (spleen and kidney yang deficiency), white face, hands and feet are not warm, less breath and lazy speech, waist and legs are cold, or impotence, premature ejaculation, women with thin belt, light tongue, sunken pulse. In the case of Yin deficiency (Liver and Kidney Yin deficiency), dry throat and thirst, flushed face, tiredness, insomnia, excessive dreaming or seminal emission, yellowish and foul-smelling belt in women, red tongue with little coating and thin pulse.
