There is great hope that bowel cancer patients can live up to a decade or so. The clinicopathological manifestations of patients with bowel cancer are more diverse, there are highly differentiated type of bowel cancer, moderately differentiated bowel cancer, low differentiated disorder and undifferentiated formation of cancer. The survival period of low-differentiated bowel cancer and undifferentiated bowel cancer is shorter, while the survival rate of more than ten years is still very high after surgical radical resection of highly differentiated bowel cancer and moderately differentiated bowel cancer. Meanwhile, the diagnosis and treatment of bowel cancer have great significance on the prognosis. Through active treatment such as surgery, if stage I bowel cancer is that the tumor invades within the muscle layer, there is no lymph node metastasis around the bowel, not to mention distant metastasis. At this time, after radical surgical resection, the 5-year survival rate of bowel cancer patients is more than 80%; the 5-year survival rate of stage II bowel cancer is about 60%. In advanced stage bowel cancer, if lymph node metastasis around the bowel or distant metastasis has occurred, the 5-year survival rate of patients will be significantly reduced. The 5-year survival rate of patients with stage III bowel cancer is around 50%, while the 5-year survival rate of patients with advanced bowel cancer is around 10%. Clinically, it is of great significance for patients with bowel cancer to be detected, diagnosed and treated early. For people with high incidence of bowel cancer, such as family history, residents of high incidence areas, smokers and drinkers, they should have regular bowel checkups.
