Small polyps in the gallbladder can be followed up regularly, and surgical treatment is feasible when necessary.
Most cases of gallbladder polyps are benign space-occupying lesions of the gallbladder. If the diameter of the polyp is less than 10mm, only regular dynamic follow-up is needed, and ultrasonography is the main method of follow-up. Initially, the follow-up is every 3-6 months, and after 1-2 years, it can be extended to every 6-12 months.
If, during the follow-up, the lesion increases significantly in a short period of time, the diameter of the lesion is larger than 10mm, and it is combined with gallbladder stones, accompanied by right upper abdominal discomfort, etc., laparoscopic cholecystectomy is generally recommended because of the risk of malignant transformation.
If there are small polyps in the gallbladder, it is recommended to consult the doctor in time and standardize the treatment.
